AOL Help for Adding Browser Button

First, open a separate browser window...
Since the AOL browser does not have a links toolbar, their browser environment cannot support our registry and bookmark buttons. Though, you can still sign on with AOL and use a separate browser window to surf the web and take full advantage of our additional features.

  • Sign on to AOL

  • Minimize AOL and open your Internet Explorer browser from your desktop.

  • You should now be able to surf the web just as you would with the AOL browser.

Second, prepare your Internet Explorer browser...

  • Make sure your Links Toolbar is showing. If you cannot see it, go to the View>Toolbars>Links menu to make it appear.

  • If the Links Toolbar isn't fully showing, click and hold on "Links" while moving it to create more space.

  • To remove any unwanted buttons, right click on the name and select "Delete".

Third, save link onto your Links Toolbar to create button...

  • Place your mouse pointer over the text in the yellow box labeled either "Add to Registry" or "Save Gift".

  • Press down the right mouse button.

  • Click on the "Add to Favorites" option (you might get a Windows error message that will ask you to continue -- if you receive this message, click on "Yes" to continue).

  • Select the "Links" folder from the Favorites list (if you do not see the "Links" folder, then click on the "Create in >>" button to show the available folders).

  • Click on the "OK" button to save the link.

  • Go to Favorites>Organize Favorites on your browser's top menu.

  • Click on the "Links" folder.

  • Click and drag the "Add to Registry" and/or the "Save Gift" item (depending on the button you added) to the top of the list underneath the "Links" folder.

  • Click the "Close" button toward the bottom of the "Organize Favorites" window.

  • Try your new button -- it should now be visible toward the top of your browser window in the "Links" section. If you are on FindGift.com, it should give you a help message. If you are on another website, it should bring up either the Registry or Save Gift option (depending on the button you added).
